CHARLOTTE, N.C. Dr. Yi Deng, Dean of the University of North Carolina, Charlotte’s College of Computing and Informatics, has named C5 Insight Managing Partner Curtis Hughes to the Board of Advisors.

Hughes remarked “I feel both humbled and blessed to be asked by Dean Deng to sit on the board, alongside such impactful and well-respected business leaders in the region.  As an alumnus of UNC Charlotte, I'm excited to have this opportunity to reconnect with the students and faculty, as well as work closely with the Dean and my fellow board members to literally shape the impact that the college and its students will have on the community and business world."

The Board is comprised of 17 well-respected business leaders who “through a direct contribution of valued support strengthen the College’s capacity to engage the community in important and meaningful ways,” according to the UNCC College of Computing and Informatics website.  Hughes brings a wealth of knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit to the group, having founded his own company, StreamLogic, Inc. in 2006, before going on to merge with Customer Connect Associates, Inc. to form C5 Insight.  In addition, he has served in a leadership role for the Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC) for the American Red Cross, and in 2012 was named one of Charlotte’s prestigious “40 Under 40” in recognition of his business accomplishments and commitment to the community.
